hummerThe M998, M998A1, M1038 and M1038A1 HMMWVs are cargo/troop carrier configurations of the HMMWV family. The vehicles are equipped with basic armor and used to transport equipment, materials, and/or personnel. The cargo carrier configuration is capable of transporting a payload (including crew) of 2,500 pounds and the troop carrier is capable of transporting a two man crew and eight passengers. Both use a troop seat kit for troop transport operations. The cargo/troop carrier can also be configured in a four man crew configuration. The vehicles can climb 60% slopes and traverse a side slope of up to 40% fully loaded. The vehicles can ford hard bottom water crossing up to 30 inches without a deep water fording kit and up to 60 inches with the kit. The M1038, M1038A1 are equipped with the self-recovery winch which can also be used to recover like systems. The M998A1 and M1038A1 models have the latest modifications applied to the vehicles

plsThe Palletized Load System (PLS) is composed of a prime mover truck with integral self-loading and unloading transport capability, a 16.5-ton payload trailer, and demountable cargo beds (flatracks). The vehicle can also be equipped with materiel handling equipment and/or a winch. PLS is a key transportation component of the ammunition distribution system and will perform long range hauling, local hauling and unit resupply of ammunition.

Five-ton trucks provide transportation, hauling and towing of just about everything in the equipment inventory. These trucks transport troops, supplies, ammunition, materials, construction items, etc. These trucks also tow many types of trailers, artillery guns and vans. Almost all Marine Corps units are equipped with five-ton trucks. The primary truck transport asset of the Marine Corps, it is available in cargo, dump, tractor and wrecker configurations. The M923 dropside cargo truck is designed to transport personnel and supplies over all types of roads and terrain, and in all weather conditions. It is capable of fording thirty inches without the fording kit and seventy-eight inches with the fording kit. The vehicle's cargo bed is equipped with hinged steel sides that fold down for ease of loading and unloading operations. The only difference between the M923 and the M925 is the M925 has a front mounted winch. The capacity of the winch on the M925 is 20,000 pounds. The maximum payload for the vehicle is 20,000 pounds highway and 10,000 pounds cross-country. The maximum towed load for the vehicles is 30,000 pounds highway and 15,000 pounds cross country.
